For all those of you who didn't know, Silent Barn, recently was robbed and vandalized. An extremely influential DIY space, Silent Barn is using the opportunity to build an even better Venue to serve the needs of the community. Help them on their way to greatness. Cuz without DIY music our souls will all die. really.

To scream. To Listen. To explore sound and history and thought. To be alone and communal. To create without the permission of the establishment or the support of the corporate. To care, even when it seems as though no one is listening. To act within a community, and share your thoughts through music, art, zines, comics, rallies, tapes, and, our favorite, live shows.

This blog is an attempt to capture the energy of the local DIY Music scene in NYC and Portland Or, (Or wherever else we find ourselves) the fervor of the artists and the passion of the communities involved. Our names are Faith and Jesse and we are artists and musicians and magicians

We are currently located in Portland, however we just moved from NY, so there will be backlogged shows from there as well for several months, as we recently switched blogs.

Also, we live in a basement where we have shows. It's called Snake Ranch. We will post info about shows when they come up!!
